If you’ve read a few blogs this morning you’ve most undoubtedly ran into a post or a feature of the new traffic service called BlogRush. The website, released less then 24 hours ago, is the brain child of famous Internet Marketing entrepreneur John Reese and in short is “the fastest and easiest way to drive a flood of targeted readers to your blog,” at least that’s what they claim. Well how does it the service work? The following video will more then decent answer a lot of question about how the whole thing works.
If you didn’t quite get what BlogRush is all about or just plain lazy to watch through the whole video, then bare with me while I explain the phenomenon. Basically it works on the “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back” principle, meaning you have to put a BlogRush widget on your blog, on that widget up to five links leading to other similar blogs will displayed, every time that widget gets a page view you in term get a credit; you can see the widget in action on my right sidebar. With that credit you’re blog posts will also be able to be found on other similar blogs, but you ads will be displayed as much as you display other ads. Seems pretty simple and fair, right?
Wait, there’s more. The service also provides a referal program, meaning if John signs up to the program from your referal link you will be granted further credit in addition to the ones you currently have. For example John has 100 views a day, you (because you refered John) will also get 100 posts featured on the network in addition to the ones you get from your blog. There are curently no restrictions on the number of users you can referal, so you can imagine the kind of traffic you would get if you had enough.
I’m a bit skeptical if BlogRush really does drive any decent traffic, but it’s worth experimenting with. Naturally those who’ve gained tons of referals will benefit a lot from it, like Shoemoney, Problogger or John Chow, who’ve blogged about the service with their referal links.
If you’d like me to gain a little extra traffic then join the network with my referal, it won’t cost you a thing. Thanks.

Good article. I’ve just signed up with Blogrush. It looks promising and I’m going to add it to one of my blogs to test it out.
I just wish it was possib;e to customize the look to fit my blogs theme.
